What is Harmony Bisection?

Harmony Bisection is a narrative-driven short game, which looks like a digital diary. The story is told in pieces by changing ASCII images, skewed graphics, and suggestive sound effects. Players explore dialogue, feelings and recollections as they compile the emotional world of a woman.

It is a frightening and promising experience, with scenes of destructiveness, dissociation, and psychedelic swirls gradually leading to contemplation and recovery. In contrast to classic storytelling, Harmony Bisection also relies on visual metaphors, textual intrusions and ambient noises to immerse the player in the mindset of the main character.

Gameplay Experience

• Interactive Storytelling - Select a sequence of narrative fragments, selecting the path, showing inner thoughts and lived experiences.
• Bang Bang - ASCII-style graphics break, distort and intersect to form a surreal digital texture which reflects the storm of memory.
• Audio Immersion - The audio creates tension building the emotional pressure even as the soundscapes are deformed by the hum of CRT monitors.
• Scattered Narrative - Every scene is like a piece of a memory - sweet or horrible. Their combination creates an entire surviving tale.
