When it’s your turn to shoot, patience is key.

• Keep the mouse-button to begin shooting
• Move the cursor to choose where you want to place the shot
• Release the mouse button at the right moment to shoot

It is no less important than timing. The ball can be shot either too early or too late making it go directly to the goalkeeper or out of the post. Power players wait till the goalkeeper takes a misstep so that he or she releases the shot.

Defending Penalties (Goalkeeping)

As the goalkeeper, your job is to read the shooter and react fast.

• Hold the mouse button to prepare your dive
• Move the cursor toward the incoming shot
• Take leave and plunge towards that side.

It makes you predictable to react too early and it makes you watch the ball hit the net to react too late. All of success in goalkeeping is anticipation.

• Mouse Hold - Aim (shooting) / Prepare dive (defending)
• Mouse Move - Choose shot direction or dive direction
• Mouse Release - Shoot the ball / Dive to save
