What Is Cornfield?

Cornfield is a maze-based puzzle survival game. Your goal is simple: explore the maze, solve puzzles and find a way out before the monster catches you is easy. Practically it is much more intense. It is a dark and confusing maze, hints are subtle, and the pursuing creature does not really seem far away.

Hiding and crouching, playing around with objects and hints when you feel lost: but there is nothing without the penalty. Go too quickly or produce the wrong sound and the monster will remind you of who has the control of the cornfield.

How to Play Cornfield

Cornfield encourages careful exploration over reckless speed. You will have to strike a balance between curiosity and cautions in order to survive.

• Search rooms and corridors systematically so that one does not become lost.
• Play with objects to find solutions to puzzles or valuable objects.
• Take advantage of hiding places when the monster approaches.
• Watch any environmental indications they usually lead to the exit.
• Hints should be used in a limited number to ensure tension and challenge.

The game is strong in terms of pacing. Every step ahead is something one is proud of, and every failure is something that is personal.

Cornfield Game Controls

The controls are user-friendly so that you can concentrate on survival and not on the intricate inputs:

• WASD / Arrow Keys - Move
• Left Mouse Button / E - Interact or pick up items
• Right Mouse Button / G - Drop items
• C - Crouch
• H - Get a hint
• F - Fire
• Shift - Sprint
• Tab - Pause

It also has smooth controls that allow movement to be responsive, and this is essential in a situation where you are running away with a monster in a tight passageway.

Cornfield is unique with its tension of the atmosphere and intelligent structure of puzzles. Rather than bombard players with mechanics it is more about the fear that is created by sound, lighting and always being hunted. The puzzles are not meaningless and it is not that the monster is there to make it urgent.
