Short Life
What Is Short Life?
Short Life is a physics-based platform game that turns survival into a darkly humorous challenge. You control a floppy ragdoll and try to get him through levels packed with traps that really do not care about your survival. Spikes, arrows, mines almost everything can and will hurt you if you move carelessly.
There are 16 levels in total, and each one adds new ways to mess you up. Getting to the finish line is already tough, but grabbing all three stars without losing body parts? That is where the real challenge begins. Short Life quickly teaches you to slow down, watch everything, and accept that failing (often) is just part of the fun.
How to Play Short Life
From the very first level, Short Life makes its intentions clear. You are a breakable ragdoll navigating what might be the most dangerous house ever built. As levels progress, traps become more complex and less forgiving. Mines can blast your character into pieces, spikes tear limbs apart, and poorly timed jumps often end in instant failure. Despite the gore, the exaggerated physics give the game a strangely lighthearted tone that keeps frustration in check. Each level feels like a puzzle where observation and patience are just as important as reflexes.
Controls Guide
Short Life keeps controls minimal so you can focus on survival:
- Left / Right Arrow Keys – Move
- Up Arrow – Jump or stand up
- Down Arrow – Crouch
Features That Make Short Life Stand Out
Short Life does not rely on complicated mechanics; it works because everything feels deliberate. The traps are brutal but creative, the ragdoll physics make every mistake unforgettable, and the difficulty ramps up just enough to keep you coming back. With over 15 levels and unlockable characters earned through stars, the game always gives you a reason to try “just one more run.”

Why Short Life Is So Addictive
Short Life is the kind of game where failing is part of the experience. You mess up, lose a limb, laugh at how badly it went and then immediately hit retry. Every failure teaches you something new, and every successful run feels genuinely earned.
