Snake Pit is a 2D pixel-art snake fighting game that transforms classic snake gameplay into competitive arena battles. Instead of simply collecting food and growing longer, you must outmaneuver rival snakes, build a size advantage, and bite their heads to win.
Fruit helps your snake grow, while clashes with opponents add another layer of strategy. You can charge a powerful dash attack to launch yourself toward a target, but timing and positioning are just as important as size. Play against AI opponents or challenge a friend in local two-player matches.
Choose Your Battle Mode
- Tournament: Face different snakes in their own habitats in a single-player competition.
- Survival: Battle every snake in the game consecutively and try to survive them all.
- Battle: Fight an AI-controlled snake or challenge a friend on the same device.
- Fruit Hunt: Compete to collect the most fruit in separate areas before the timer runs out.
Master the Art of Snake Combat
Winning requires more than moving quickly. You need to grow, position yourself carefully, and choose the right moment to attack.
Collect Fruit and Target the Head
Move around the arena to eat fruit and increase your snake's size. To defeat an opponent, bite their head while your snake is bigger. If both snakes are the same size, the outcome is less predictable.
Charge and Launch Your Attack
Your power bar fills as you collect fruit and engage in combat. Once it is fully charged, hold the Charge button, aim your movement, and release it to launch your snake toward a target.
Each snake also has its own special ability, creating different opportunities to gain an advantage during battle.
