What is Social Solitaire?

Social Solitaire is a free social game based on traditional Klondike Solitaire with some social and customization touch. The game by DrMop maintains the vintage card gameplay players are accustomed to, but introduces rewards, visual enhancement, and performance statistics. In its purest form, Social Solitaire is a variant of solitaire: one has to carry the cards between tableau columns downwards in alternating colorings and to construct the four foundation piles up to the Ace to King by suit. The aim is to sweep the board effectively and tactfully.

How to Play Social Solitaire

Social Solitaire is based on the standard Klondike Solitaire rules but there are two different modes of play, Relaxed and Normal.

Objective

You are to get all 52 cards to the four foundation piles, in the order of the suits (hearts, diamonds, clubs, spades) Ace to King.

Tableau Rules

• Only the cards in the tableau must be in a descending order (King to Ace).
• Colors must alternate (red on black, black on red).
• Only a King can be placed in an empty tableau column.

Foundation Rules

• Ace is the beginning of foundations.
• The cards should be put in the ascending order and they should be of the same suit.

Game Mode

• Relaxed Mode: No hidden cards. All cards are visible, making it easier and more strategic.
• Normal Mode: Classic Klondike with face-down cards that must be uncovered.

You may also run out of moves and utilise some helpers such as hints, undo or the steal a card feature (requires crowns).

Game Controls

Social Solitaire uses simple mouse-based controls:

• Mouse Click & Drag - Move cards between tableau columns or to the foundation.
• Single Click - Quickly send eligible cards to the foundation.
• Undo Button - Reverse your last move.
• Hint Button - Highlight a possible move (costs 1 crown).
