What Is Territorial.io?

Territorial.io is a web-based real-time multiplayer conquest game in which players seek to acquire as much territory as they can. It is played by beginning with a small territory and expanding, founding by attacking other players or grasping neutral territories. Games may involve hundreds of players simultaneously, and provide a continuously changing battlefield on which alliances come and go fast. It is not a matter of chance-it is more of intelligent planning, prudent growth and timing.

How the Gameplay Works

Each game starts by entering a username and entering a lobby. As soon as you enter the game, you get a small piece of land. It is there where the challenge starts.

You can:

• Diversify to expand into neutral grounds.
• Razing weaker people to plunder.
• Strengthen borders to provide defense against the threats.

The key is balance. Growing too quickly will expose your borders and growing defensively may result in others taking up the map. As the game advances, the map gets more congested and errors are more difficult to make up.

Strategy Matters More Than Speed

Territorial.io pays off players who plan. There are attacks on timing, detecting the intention of the opponent, and deciding when to co-operate, or when to betray, and it is all a part of the experience. Other players accelerate the process of growth. Others wait, gain strength and attack at the most appropriate time. It does not have a winning strategy and that is why each game is new and uncertain.
